I have put together a blog of pictures and comments about our Caribbean cruise. To see it, scroll down and find the Links section of this blog. It is on the right, under my picture and the archive. It is missing a few pictures from the snorkeling trip at St. Croix, but the rest of the pictures are there. I hope that you enjoy it!

Beautiful pictures!
Great pics Rhoda! You inspire me on what I want to do after institutionalized work is over -- LIVE.
Love your profile pic -- cabernet or malbec?
Be well and best wishes!
Jessica
Afton and Jessica, Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. Actually, Alan took most of them. We just take tons of digital pictures and hope that some turn out good enough to use.
The profile picture is old; I now have grey hair. However, it has always been my favorite picture of myself--has the right tone for a blog, I think. It was taken while I was watching one of Alan's bands play at a gig at an Italian restaurant in Bristol. I don't remember the wine--probably pinot noir.
Jessica, On your comment about what you want to do when you get out of institutionalized work--I hope that you are "living" now. Since you are getting married and traveling to the Canadian Rockies, it looks like you are. However, I will tell you a story about the Avalanche Lake hike that I recommended to you in Facebook. It was an epiphany moment for me: I was 36 years old; my husband and I had quit jobs we hated and sold everything we owned in order to travel around the US in a motor home. We had just finished a wonderful hike to Avalanche Lake at Glacier. When we came back to the campground, we saw all the retired people sitting in lawn chairs next to their trailers. We excitedly told them about the beautiful hike we had just taken. They were interested, but asked how long the hike was. We responded that it wasn't long--5 or 6 miles. They looked at us with horror, saying, "I couldn't possibly hike that far!" At that moment, I resolved two things: I was going to be able to hike 5-6 miles when I was retired, and I wasn't going to wait until I retired to do the things I wanted to do. There are many, many things I still want to do in my life, but I am so happy that I have kept my two resolves.
Great pictures....looks like you enjoyed yourselves. RE: the palm tree...I believe it is called a Wayfarer's palm. I saw many of these in Acapulco. Named because they supplied water for folks traveling.
Dolores
Thanks Dolores! I changed it in the blog.
