Alan and I share a birthday, so we always try to do something special together that day. This year was a biggie for us (60 for Alan; 70 for me), so we decided to spend a few days in Asheville. We went to Biltmore, the incredible home of the Vanderbilts. If you aren't familiar with Biltmore, you can find out more at the link below. It has videos of the house, inside and out, that are a lot better than what I have below. They wouldn't allow pictures in the house.

There were thousands of tulips in bloom. |

My new favorite picture of us-- in front of azaleas in the Azalea Garden. We look pretty good for a couple of old codgers, don't we? |
Conservatory |
The house and conservatory were filled with orchids in bloom. |

Happy belated birthdays. You both look great. I've been to Biltmore a couple of times. Very beautiful and awesome view of the rich and famous lifestyle of the 19th Century. Sharon
