July 17 - August 15, 2015: Freddie, Rhoda, and Alan go to Michigan

As usual for our long trips, I created a separate blog of our pictures and experiences.  We had expected Michigan to be beautiful, but frankly, we were blown away by how wonderful it was. It was the best trip with Freddie the trailer, yet.  I hope you enjoy the blog; we certainly loved the trip.

Michigan: Summer of 2015

Note:  When you come to the end, you will see a link to older entries.  You will need to click on that to see pictures of where we went in Wisconsin after we left Michigan.

Great pictures...Glad you got to see the copper mine too! Hope you made it all the way out the Peninsula!

Ralph,
Yes, we made it all the way to the end, where the highway starts at Copper Harbor and ends in Miami. I've forgotten the number. We saw lots of things that I had to leave out of the blog because it was already so long. I just tried to catch the highlights.

I enjoyed the post a lot. You may have passed by my home town (Saugatuck) but saw a lot of neat places, some of which I never got to when living there (e.g. Keweenaw). BTW we're having a great old time in NYC now (don't know when I'll ever get back to MI -- or TN for that matter).

David,
I didn't know you were from Michigan. I don't remember Saugatuck, but there were lots of towns with tongue-twisting names--native American, I guess. I'm not sure we will ever get back to Michigan, either, but we really enjoyed it. Mostly, we will be on to other adventures in new places.
