Crocus and Bees in our Back Yard
We have been having "spring" here, despite the date on the calendar.  The woods in back of our house are filled with crocus and bees.  Tennessee weather is always strange, but I don't ever remember having crocus in January before.  Real winter is sure to come, yet.

Yesterday, I got re-elected to be president of the Sullivan County Imagination Library Board of Directors.  This takes huge chunks of my time; however, it is most interesting and rewarding.  You can become a Facebook friend for the SCIL and enjoy pictures and news of the organization: SCIL on Facebook

Alan is going through yet another strategy to try to deal with his migraines:  Our doctor thought that getting off caffeine may help.  So as of this week, no coffee, no Excedrin, no chocolate.  As you can imagine, he is miserable, but he is doing his best to stick it out without complaining, in hopes that it may help.  If this doesn't work, I am voting for a trip to a headache clinic anywhere in the continental United States.  Does anyone know of a good one?

I wish we had the warm weather you are having. Flowers blooming in January. No such luck here in Pittsburgh. We recently had about 4 inches of snowfall on top of the couple of inches already on the ground. Fortunately it warmed up enough so that most of the snow has melted. However, we may get sleet and icy weather tonight.
